No. 2525-E&T- 54/2606. - In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 17(a) and 24(4) of the Punjab Excise Act (1 of 1914), and in supersession of a previous notifications issued in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased hereby to make the following orders prohibiting the import and possession of ganja as an intoxicant :-
- These orders may be called the Punjab Import and Possession of Ganja Orders, 1954.
The Punjab Import and Possession of Ganja Orders, 1954.
The import into the State of Punjab and the possession of any quantity of ganja, or any preparation of admixture thereof, within Punjab is prohibited.
