Received the assent of the Governor of Punjab on the 20th March, 1966, and was first published in the Punjab Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 23rd February, 1966.

An Act to amend the Provincial Small Cause Courts Act, 1887, in its application on the State of Punjab.

Be it enacted by the legislature of the State of Punjab in the Seventeenth Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

In view of such amendment it is not considered necessary to retain sub-section (3) of section 15 which is being omitted". (vide Punjab Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 23rd February, 1966, P. 212).

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Provincial Small Cause Courts (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1966.

2. Amendment of section 15 of the Central Act of 1887.- In section 15 of the Provincial Small Cause Courts Act, 1887, in its application to the State of Punjab, -

(1) in sub-section (2) for the words "five hundred" the words "two thousand" shall be substituted; and

(2) sub-section (3) shall be omitted.
