An Act to extend the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 1956 to the Kohima and
Mokokchung districts in the State of Nagaland.
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Eighteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
- Short title.—This Act may be called the Standards of Weights and Measures (Extension to
Kohima and Mokokchung Districts) Act, 1967.
- Extension of Act 89 of 1956 to Kohima and Mokokchung Districts in Nagaland.—The
Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 1956, shall, as from the commencement of this Act, extend
to the Kohima and Mokokchung districts in the State of Nagaland and shall come into force therein on
such date1
as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
