In the shocking turnaround of events, the Punjab Police has filed a cancellation report before a Patiala District Court in a case where the Civil Judge (Junior Division) Bikramdeep Singh was accused of committing theft at the residence of a judge who had passed away at the Hospital the same night in the year 2025.
As per case registered with Police, Civil Judge Bikramdeep Singh along with other accused had been accused of allegedly stealing gold and jewellery last year from the residence of Additional District & Sessions Judge Kanwaljit Singh on the same night in March 2025 when he passed away in the Hospital.
Recently, a court in Patiala had denied anticipatory bail to judge Bikramdeep Singh.
But now, Police has now decided to close the matter as per the supplementary statement of the complainant the stolen goods have been recovered fron the house itself.
As per Police, the allegations were that AD&SJ Kanwaljit Singh had passed away at Hospital on August 1, 2025, his house help Amarjit Kaur alias Pinky, Gaurav Goel, a Government officer and " an unknown person" came in three cars to the deceased judge's residence to commit the theft.
