Following Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise, fans across the nation demanded a CBI probe in the matter as they suspected a foul play. A law student had also filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a CBI or NIA probe in the matter. Supreme Court today dismissed the petition.

According to a report in ANI, dismissing the petition of the law student seeking CBI or NIA probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, the Chief Justice of India said, “Who are you? You are a total stranger unnecessarily interfering in the case. Victim's father is pursuing the case. We are dismissing your petition.”

Following an FIR filed by Sushant’s father KK Singh in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty, Bihar police had started a parallel investigation on the case.

However, between Mumbai and Bihar police’s cold war for jurisdiction in the case, the case was transferred to CBI on Bihar Government’s request to the centre.

The CBI has now started the registration of the case and will soon be taking information and help of both Bihar and Mumbai police in the case.

Earlier today, the Enforcement Directorate summoned Rhea Chakraborty. While the actress tried to get the recording to the statement postponed, she finally ended up meeting the ED in Mumbai. Following her, her ex-manager Shruti Modi was also spotted at the ED office.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai apartment on June 14.
