They are actively inviting original, unpublished manuscripts for our digital platform. This initiative seeks to curate diverse, high-quality perspectives on the advancements within the legal sector. By contributing to the Lexi Blog, authors gain a platform to share their expertise with an engaged community of tech-forward legal professionals, researchers, and corporate clients.
Eligibility
They welcome submissions from law students, academicians, legal practitioners, advocates, and tech-law enthusiasts.
Theme
While we welcome submissions on any pressing contemporary legal issue, we highly encourage posts that align with the following core areas:
- The intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Law (e.g., AI and authorship, regulatory frameworks for legal tech, data privacy).
- Intellectual Property Rights, including copyright infringement (e.g., applying the Layman Observer Test) and trademark developments.
- Recent shifts in Indian Statutory Law, including but not limited to Taxation, Banking Law, Competition Law, Labour Law, Corporate Governance, Information Technology Law, etc.
- International Law, Human Rights, and International Criminal Jurisprudence.
Submission Guidelines
- Word Limit: 1200–1500 words. Longer pieces may be accepted subject to the discretion of the Editorial Board.
- The articles must be submitted as a Word document (.doc or .docx). PDFs will not be accepted.
- Formatting: Times New Roman; 12 pt. font size; 1.5 line spacing. The document text should be justified.
- All relevant authorities must be duly acknowledged, and only hyperlinks should be used in the text of the submission. Use of footnotes and endnotes is strongly discouraged unless strictly necessary. If used, footnotes must be in Times New Roman, 10 pt., 1.0 line spacing, and justified. No speaking footnotes are allowed.
- Co-authorship is allowed up to two authors, but not more.
- The author(s) bear the sole responsibility for the accuracy of facts, opinions, or views put forth in the submitted manuscript.
- The submission must be an original work of the author(s) and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. A similarity index of more than 15% shall lead to immediate rejection.
- Copyright of all published blog posts shall vest with “Lexi” By submitting, authors grant Lexi non-exclusive, royalty-free rights to publish and promote their content.
- Manuscripts with heavy AI usage for drafting will be summarily rejected.
How to Submit?
Send your submissions to akshaj@getlexi.io with the subject line: “Blog Submission – [Your Article Title]”.
In the body of the email (and not in the manuscript), please include:
- Name of the author(s)
- Current institutional affiliation or professional designation
- A brief 2-3 line author bio
The author(s) shall receive an acknowledgement email on the receipt of the article within 3 to 4 business days.
Once acknowledged, the article will go through a rigorous editorial process. The editorial board will evaluate all submissions based on the nature of the topic, depth of research, and novelty of arguments.
Feature Image (Optional): If the author wishes to include a cover photo with their article, they may attach one high-quality image directly related to the blog topic. This must be sent as an attachment in the same email, and the file size must be less than 10 MB.
Please allow a minimum of 2 to 4 weeks for the team to process your submission. Acceptance or rejection of the manuscript shall be communicated within four weeks of submitting the piece.
