The National Law School of India Review (‘NLSIR’) invites submissions of original, unpublished manuscripts for consideration for its upcoming Volume 37(2). The NLSIR is the flagship, student-edited law review of the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. It is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed journal, with the distinction of having been cited multiple times by the Supreme Court of India, most recently in the landmark judgement Mohit Minerals v Union of India.
Past issues of the NLSIR have featured contributions from former Chief Justices of India, Justice Altamas Kabir and Justice DY Chandrachud, as well as Justices SB Sinha and AR Lakshmanan of the Indian Supreme Court, academics such as Prof. Richard Whish, Prof. Michael Furmston, Prof. Christopher Forsyth, Prof. Martin Hunter, Prof. Wing Cheong Chan, and renowned practitioners.

All submissions must conform to the NLSIR’s mandate and scope and have some relevance to Indian law. Co-authorship is permitted. Submissions may be made under any of the following categories:
Please note that word limits are exclusive of footnotes. In compelling circumstances, the Editorial Board may be flexible with respect to the word count depending on the quality of the submission.
The deadline for submissions is 31st January 2026. Please note that we will be unable to accept submissions for Vol. 37(2) after this date.
All submissions must be made through the NLSIR Digital Commons Repository, by creating an account here (attached at the end of the post). For further instructions and clarifications for submissions on the Platform, please refer to this guide. We do not accept submissions over email.
We endeavour to revert to authors with the first round of editorial review within six weeks of the date of submission. If a piece passes editorial review, it is subjected to double-blind peer review. The final decision is made after the peer review.
