Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.) was established in the year 2018 by Madhya Pradesh National University Act 24 of 2018, with the object of advancing the cause of legal education and achieving excellence as a university for imparting value based legal education.
The university emphasis learning advocacy skills with professional ethics by providing suitable simulation exercises. Our vision is to impart and disseminate knowledge of the law and promote a culture of research that develops and advances legal education.
We also aim to impart specialized and systematic instructions and training to law students, research scholars, and officers performing administrative and quasi- administrative functions. The university aims to be both a knowledge-driven institution and a creative and wisdom driven institution.
A corporate entity’s importance in the economic, political and social milieu can never be underestimated, and hence an efficient corporate legal framework is of considerable importance. Corporate law and corporate law scholarship have grown tremendously in the recent era.
Corporate laws govern the rights, relations, and conduct of persons, companies, organizations, and businesses. India has a plethora of laws that govern corporate entities, along with various regulators and agencies that control their corporate activities.
Presently, these laws as well as the regulatory bodies are constantly working towards ensuring ease of doing business while keeping in check the unscrupulous activities of corporate entities.
The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance aims to act as a multidisciplinary forum for research, analysis, and discussion of various issues in corporate law and governance emerging from time to time in India and around the world.
Corporate law forms the backbone of modern business, defining how companies are constituted, governed, held accountable, and aligned with societal expectations. In today’s world, ESG standards, CSR imperatives, and robust governance mechanisms are no longer optional they are vital to ensuring transparency, ethical conduct, and sustainable growth. We are pleased to invite you to be part of our forthcoming Conference 1st Corporate Law Summit 2025 on Corporate Law, ESG, CSR & Governance. We invite submissions addressing the diverse dimensions of corporate, ESG, CSR, governance, and insolvency law. These contributions are intended to deepen the discourse and shed light on practical, doctrinal, and policy challenges across these fields.
Panel Discussion- Beyond Compliance – ESG & CSR as Drivers of Sustainable Growth. In today’s business world, ESG and CSR are no longer peripheral responsibilities; they are central to strategy and reputation. This panel brings together experts from industry, academia, and policy to explore how organizations can integrate sustainability into their operations and governance. Attendees will gain perspectives on aligning ESG and CSR with long-term value creation while addressing real-world implementation challenges.
