About GNLU

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is the statutory university established by the Govt. of Gujarat under the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003 . The University is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) (2f & 12B) .

About GCSEL International Conference on Sports Law in the Global South

Last year’s 1st Edition of the GCSEL International Conference on Sports Law in the Global South was a tremendous success, one that brought together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers for truly meaningful conversations on the future of sports law.

Building on that momentum, they are delighted to announce the 2nd GCSEL International Conference on Sports Law in the Global South.

This year, they are in a new international collaboration with the Manchester Law School, The Manchester Metropolitan University, further strengthening the conference’s global reach and academic depth.

Theme

The Global South and Olympic Regulation: Rewriting the Rulebook”, covering a wide range of sub-themes related to Olympic governance, athlete rights, human rights, CAS justice gaps, and more.

Participation Format

Participants from India: In-person attendance at GNLU is mandatory.

Participants from other countries: You may participate online if you wish.

Registration Fee

Selected authors are required to pay a registration fee of 1000 INR.

Submission Guidelines

They invite 300-word abstracts on the above given theme.

Deadline and Important Dates

Submit by January 10, 2026.

Selected speakers will be notified by January 20, 2026 and must submit a short draft (3000 words) by March 10, 2026.
