About the Organiser:
National Academy of Legal Studies and Research [NALSAR] was established in 1998 by the State of Andhra Pradesh under the NALSAR Act, 1998 [Andhra Pradesh Act 34 of 1998] and has been home to vital conversations on law and justice.
The Indian Society of International Law [ISIL] was founded in 1959 at the initiative of Shri V.K. Krishna Menon with the objective to ‘foster nation-wide study and development of International Law and to ‘encourage the comparative study of the application of the International Law in other States.’
Enhelion is a leading online legal and Management education company with the aim of bridging the gap between academia and the profession. It provides online courses in association with leading law firms and has partnered with universities in Indian and Africa.
About the Moot Court Competition:
National Academy of Legal Studies and Research [NALSAR], Hyderabad is organizing the 1st edition of NALSAR Public International Law Moot Court Competition in association with ISIL and Enhelion as Knowledge Partners.
The event is scheduled to be held from 16th-18th August 2019 at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
Eligibility:
The competition is open to students currently enrolled in LLB, Undergraduate Degree Courses and LLM Postgraduate Degree Courses.
No more than one team may represent an institution.
Team size and other information:
Each team shall comprise of a minimum of two students and maximum of three students, with two speakers and one researcher (if applicable).
Location:
NALSAR University of Law, Justice City, Shamirpet, Hyderabad, Telangana, 500101, India.
Registration Procedure:
Interested teams are required to register by sending a scanned copy of the duly filled Registration Form to pilmoot[at]nalsar.ac.in with Subject “Registration for NALSAR Public International Law Moot 2019”.
The teams are also required to fill the Google Form (Available here).
The last date for registration is 10th June 2019.
Fee Details:
All Indian teams shall be required to make a payment of INR 1000 via online transfer (NEFT) on/before 10th June 2019. All overseas teams shall be required to make a payment of USD 50 via wire transfer on/before 10th June 2019.
Details of the same must be sent to pilmoot[at]nalsar.ac.in before 11:59 P.M. on 10th June 2019 along with the duly filled registration form.
Indian Teams that qualify Stage I, i.e. the Memorial Elimination Round shall be required to make a payment of INR 5000 via an online transfer (NEFT) on/before 20th July 2019.
All overseas teams that qualify Stage I shall be required to make a payment of USD 100 via wire transfer.
