The Law Minister informed Lok Sabha that 345 permanent Lok Adalats are functioning in the country. The first e LokAdalat was held in Madhya Pradesh on 27.06.2020.
He replied to an Unstarred Question related to the details of e-Lok adalats organised in the country since 2020.
He stated that every year, NALSA issues calendar for the year for organising National LokAdalats. During 2023, National LokAdalats are scheduled to be held on 11th February, 13th May, 9th September and 9th December. State LokAdalats are organised by State Legal Services Authorities as per local conditions and needs.
Top 3 States having maximum numbers of Lok Adalats are as follows:
- Madhya Pradesh : 50 Lok Adalats
- Rajasthan : 35 Lok Adalats
- Tamil Nadu : 32 Lok Adalats
