The Supreme Court has officially notified that it will observe partial court working days from Monday, 26th May 2025, to Sunday, 13th July 2025, in accordance with Rule 4 of Order II of the Supreme Court Rules, 2013 (as amended). The Court will resume regular functioning from Monday, 14th July 2025.
As per Rule 6 of Order II, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India has constituted multiple vacation benches to hear urgent matters during this period. The composition of these benches has been scheduled in weekly phases. During this period, designated Vacation Benches have been constituted to hear urgent matters. The week-wise composition is as follows:

Meanwhile, the Registry will operate from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for all officers and clerical staff. Non-clerical Group-C staff will follow working hours from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, except Saturday, 12th July 2025, when the Registry will remain open.
This summer roster ensures continuity in handling urgent matters and vacation-time litigation at the Apex Court.
