Supreme Court collegium has recommended Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan as the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.
Justice Chauhan is presently the Acting Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court after Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan, who was its Chief Justice, got transferred as the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court.
The collegium comprising of CJI Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SA Bobde & Justice NV Ramana observed
"Office of the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, which has recently been constituted as separate High Court for the State of Telangana, has been lying vacant for some time. Therefore, appointment to that office is required to be made."
