In its meeting held on 14th August, 2020, Supreme Court Collegium has approved the proposal for elevation of Advocates and Judicial Officers as Judges of the Kerala, Gujarat and Allahabad High Courts.
While for Kerala High Court the list includes both Advocates and Judicial Officers, for Gujarat and Allahabad High Court, the list have Advocates in it.
