NIA Special Court Patna, Bihar convicted Julkar Sheikh in NIA case RC-04/2019/NIA-DLI pertaining to FICN seizure having a face value of Rs. 4,00,000/- (four lakhs) from the possession of accused Julkar Shaikh by Bihar Police on 02.02.2019. In this regard, an FIR no. 118/2019, dated 02.02.2019 was registered at PSBettiah, West Champaran, Bihar, which was re-registered by NIA as RC-04/2019/NIA-DLI on 21.02.2019.
After thorough investigations, 4 Charge-sheets were filed against 5 accused persons on 02.05.2019, 22.08.2019, 11.06.2020 and 31.12.2020. Earlier, NIA Special Court Patna, Bihar had convicted and sentenced 3 accused persons in this case to rigorous imprisonment and fine on 25.02.2022 and 30.03.2022.
The accused Julkar Sheikh has been convicted today u/s 489 B & 489 C of IPC and 120B read with 489B of IPC. The quantum of punishment against him would be pronounced by the NIA Special Court, Patna on 08.09.2022.
