On Monday, the Supreme Court of India appointed Former Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi as Sole Arbitrator in one matter of Contract Agreement.

The Top Court after obtaining consent from both the parties (MCM SERVICE PRIVATE LIMITED vs ITALIA THAI DEVELOPMENT PUBLIC COMPANY LTD) has assigned the Ex-CJI the role to met out the dispute.

The arbitral proceedings will be conducted by the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration with the seat of the arbitration at New Delhi.

The order has been passed  by a Bench comprising of Justice Indu Malhotra
