Taking cognizance of the urgent application seeking clarification in regard to the facilities for isolation rooms at the CLAT 2020 exam centres for the COVID-19 positive candidates, will be heard tomorrow at 10 AM by a 3-judge bench of the Supreme Court. The bench will consist of Justice Ashok Bhushan, Justice R. Subhash Reddy and Justice M.R. Shah.
The plea was moved before the Supreme Court by one COVID-19 positive CLAT Aspirant, Mr. Deepansh Tripathi on 26 September 2020 after a letter addressed to the Consortium of NLUs by three law students namely, Amit Agarwal, Priya Chaudhary and Kumar Harsh requesting an alternate remedy to the guideline, and it was pressed upon that since the entrance exam (CLAT 2020) is scheduled on 28 September 2020, the matter to be heard urgently.
Earlier, the Counsels appearing for the aspirant had moved an urgent application for mentioning the said plea on 27 September 2020 i.e. Sunday.
