The Government of India has appointed Senior Advocate P. Sreekumar as the Additional Solicitor General (ASG) for India at the Kerala High Court, formalising a key law officer position that will represent the Union in significant constitutional and statutory matters before the High Court.

The appointment was notified by the Ministry of Law and Justice (Department of Legal Affairs) through a Gazette notification dated March 27, 2026. Acting on the approval of the President of India, the Centre confirmed that Sreekumar will serve a tenure of three years commencing from March 23, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
