Petitioner claim framing of ambiguous question paper as well as ignoring the petitioner's repeat objections to the question paper
Even as the Supreme Court re-examines the 2014 Delhi Judicial Service examination for alleged irregularities, the latest examination process has already come under the scanner of the Delhi high court.
The HC recently issued notice to its registrar general on a petition filed by one of the unsuccessful candidates challenging the 2015 preliminary exam conducted for judicial service.
A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Najmi Waziri gave 10 days' time to the HC administration to file an affidavit on the plea accusing it of framing ambiguous question paper repeatedly as well as for ignoring the petitioner's objections to the question paper.
"Petitioner was flabbergasted after looking at the answer keys since it involved lot of ambiguities and many questions which had multiple answers were wrongly marked correct.
Some of the keys were demonstrably wrong in the opinion of a reasonable body of persons well-versed in the subject and some keys were incorrect beyond doubt," said the petition filed by Manish Gupta through advocate Arpit Bhargav.
"From the revised answer key, it is clear that 13 questions were found to be ambiguous in nature. Out of these 13 questions, 5 answer keys were found to be incorrect in previous answer key, which points out a blatant laxity in performing statutory duty by the respondent," it adds.
