conferencing.
Mr. B.N. Maulekhi, learned Deputy Advocate General for the State.

Hon'ble Siddhartha Sah, J.

Applicant is in judicial custody in FIR No.0013 of

2020, under Sections 302, 201 and 376 IPC and Section

3(2)(v) of SC, ST Act, Police Station Patel Nagar, District

Dehradun. He has sought his release on short term bail.

2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and

perused the record.

3. This is the third bail application. However, a short

term bail application of the applicant has been filed seeking

short term bail for a limited period to enable him to attend

the marriage of his real brother scheduled on 06.02.2026.

4. Learned counsel for the State was directed to seek

instructions. The State has confirmed about the marriage of

the applicant's real brother which is scheduled to be held on

06.02.2026.

5. In view of the above, the Short Term Bail Application

(IA No.1 of 2026) is allowed.

6. Without adverting to the merit purely on humanitarian

grounds, this Court is of the view that the applicant may be

enlarged on short term bail for three weeks' from the date of

his release.

7. Accordingly, the applicant shall be enlarged on short

term bail for a period of 3 weeks from the date of his release,

subject to his furnishing a personal bond and two reliable

sureties, each of the like amount, to the satisfaction of the

court concerned.

8. The applicant is directed to forthwith surrender

himself after the expiry of the aforesaid period.

9. The short term bail application stands disposed of

accordingly.

10. List this case on 17.03.2026.
