WPMS No.552 of 2025
Hon'ble Ravindra Maithani, J.
Mr. A.M. Saklani, Advocate for the petitioner.
Mr. Devendra Pant, Standing Counsel for the State/respondent no.1.
Mr. Pawan Sanwal, Advocate holding brief of Mr. Rahul Consul, Advocate for the respondent nos. 2 and 3.
It is a strange case. The petitioner sought allotment of a shop based on some unwarranted recommendation, which was considered by this Court in its judgment dated 10.04.2018, passed in WPMS No.166 of 2017, when this Court observed that if displaced persons are not available, for whom the shops are constructed, the shops shall be allotted by way of a proper advertisement.
Since then, the shop has yet not been allotted. Now, the petitioner claims that he is being charged exorbitant above.
The Court wanted to know from the respondent no.2 as to why the shop has been kept vacant for a long? After all, it is loss of revenue to an authority. It is public money.
Learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3 seeks time to get instructions.
List this matter at 2:00 PM.
