Mr. Mohd. Alauddin, Advocate for the appellant.
Mr. Virendra Singh Rawat, AGA for the State. The appellant proposes to challenge the judgment and order dated 31.07.2025, passed in Special Sessions Trial No.151 of 2023, State of Uttarakhand vs. Ramesh Kumar, by the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge/F.T.S.C. (POCSO) Roorkee, District Haridwar. By it, the appellant has been convicted under Sections 9(n)/10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and sentenced accordingly. The appeal is delayed by 17 days. A delay condonation application has been filed. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant was in jail, therefore, he could contact with pairokar, therefore, delay occurred. It is not disputed to by the learned State Counsel.
Having considered, the grounds of delay are good enough to condone the delay. Therefore, delay in filing the appeal is condoned. The delay condonation application is allowed. Heard.
