Mr. I.P. Kohli, learned counsel for the appellant/Insurance Company.

2. Mr. Amit Kapri, learned counsel for respondent no.1 /claimant.

3. This appeal is directed against the judgment and award dated 10.05.2024, passed by the learned M.A.C.T./District

of 2023, whereby a compensation of ₹18,45,920/- has been awarded in favour of the claimants.

4. A Money Withdrawal Application (I.A. No. 3 of 2025) has been filed by respondent no.1/claimant, stating therein that by order dated 26.07.2024, the Coordinate Bench of this Court stayed the execution of the impugned award subject to deposit of ₹18,00,000/- out of the total awarded amount before the Tribunal. It is further averred that in compliance of the said order, the appellant/Insurance Company has deposited the sum of ₹18,00,000/- before the concerned Tribunal. The applicant/claimant has submitted that she is in dire need of money for her livelihood, and therefore prays for release of the deposited awarded amount.

5. For the reasons stated, the Money Withdrawal Application is allowed.

6. It is directed that out of the amount deposited by the Insurance Company before the Tribunal, 50% of the deposited amount shall be released in favour of respondent no.1/claimant, and the remaining amount shall be kept in an interest-bearing fixed deposit in a nationalised bank subject to further orders of this Court.

7. List this appeal along with the connected appeal on 04.09.2025.
