Mr. V.S. Rawat, A.G.A. for the State. The appellant proposes to challenge the judgment and order dated 12/13.12.2024, passed in Special Sessions Trial No.166 of 2019, State Vs. Aajad and Another, by the court of FTSC/Additional Sessions Judge, Roorkee, District Haridwar. By it, the appellant has been convicted and sentenced under Sections 363, 366A, 354 IPC and Section 7 read with Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The appeal is delayed. A Delay Condonation Application, IA No.1 of 2025, has been filed.
The delay condonation application is not objected to by learned State Counsel.
Having considered, this Court is of the view that there are good grounds for condonation of delay. Accordingly, the Delay Condonation Application deserves to be allowed.
