2. Mr. D.S. Bora, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand.

3. Petitioner has challenged Government Orders dated 28.10.2020, 05.11.2020 and 09.11.2020 issued by State Government regarding Downgrade Principal. These Government Orders provide that one should be eligible for appointment as Downgrade Principal on the date of occurrence of vacancy on the said post or else the post of Principal should be filled by direct recruitment.

4. Learned State Counsel submits that identical issue was decided by this Court in the case of Lalit Kishor Sharma v. State of Uttarakhand and others (Writ Petition (S/B) No. 371 of 2020).

5. Copy of the judgment dated 09.06.2025, rendered in the said writ petition, is produced before us. Upon perusal of the said judgment, we find substance in the submission made by learned State Counsel.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition is decided in terms of the judgment dated 09.06.2025 rendered in Writ Petition (S/B) No. 371 of 2020.
