Upon hearing the learned Counsel, the Court
made the following
JUDGMENT :

(per: Ms. Ritu Bahri, C.J.)

1. Since common issue is involved in both these

public interest litigations, both these public interest

litigations are being decided by this common judgment.

2. As per the order dated 09.01.2024, Mr. S.N.

Babulkar, learned Advocate General, had stated that

the election process would be completed within six

months and the term of Administrator appointed cannot

be extended beyond the period of six months under

Section 10A(4) of the Uttarakhand Municipalities Act,

1916.

3. Learned counsel for the State has again

informed that the process is going-on and the election

would be completed within time as per the statement

given by Mr. S.N. Babulkar, learned Advocate General.

4. Keeping this in view, both the writ petitions

are disposed of.
