Heard Mr. Ravi Babulkar, Advocate for the petitioner.

In this writ petition, petitioner has challenged the order passed by State Information Commission in Second Appeal, whereby Public Information Officer is directed to supply required personal information in respect of some other person.

Learned counsel for petitioner has relied upon a judgment rendered by Hon'ble Supreme Court in the Case of Canara Bank v. C.S. Shyam and another, (2018) 11 SCC 426, in support of his contention that in the absence of disclosure of public interest, no direction could have been issued to supply third party information to the applicant.

Issue notice to the respondents, by registered post, acknowledgment due.

Steps to be taken within a week. List this case on 17.05.2023. Till the next date of listing, effect and operation of impugned order dated 09.01.2023, shall remain stayed.
