This Contempt Petition has been filed for enforcement of final order dated 29.11.2017 passed by Writ Court in WPSS No. 2980 of 2017, whereby respondents were directed to pay minimum of pay scale for the post of Sweeper to the petitioner.

Learned Standing Counsel has produced in Court today, a copy of judgment dated 25.04.2022 rendered by Division Bench of this Court in SPA No. 69 of 2022, which is taken on record. Based on the said judgment, learned Standing Counsel submits that the order passed by Writ Court does not exist anymore.

Perusal of the judgment rendered by Division Bench of this Court reveals that the judgment dated 29.11.2017 rendered in WPSS No. 2980 of 2017, was set aside.

Since the final order sought to be enforced does not survive anymore, therefore, the contempt petition is closed. Contempt notice issued to the respondent is hereby discharged.
