Hon'ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.
Mr. M.S. Bhandari, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Mr. Sushil Vashisth, learned Standing Counsel for the State/respondents.
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has made statement at bar that the order passed by Division Bench of this Court, enforcement whereof has been sought in this Contempt Petition, has been stayed by Hon'ble Supreme Court.
This submission has not been disputed by learned counsel for the petitioner.
Since the judgment rendered by Division Bench of this Court has become unenforceable in view of stay granted by Hon'ble Supreme Court, therefore, no useful purpose would be served by keeping this Contempt Petition pending. Accordingly, Contempt Petition is closed. Contempt notices issued to respondents are hereby discharged. However, petitioner shall be at liberty to file a fresh Contempt Petition, as and when the SLP is decided by Hon'ble Supreme Court in his favour.
