This Criminal Appeal is preferred by the appellant against the judgment and order dated 18.12.2021, passed by the learned Special Judge (NDPS Act)/Ist Additional District and Sessions Judge, Udham Singh Nagar in Special Sessions Trial No. 76 of 2013, "State vs. Irfan" whereby the appellant/accused has been convicted under Section 8/20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of five years along with a fine of Rs. 20,000/- and in default of payment of fine to further undergo simple imprisonment for a period of two months.
Heard Mr. Mohd. Azim, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. Lalit Miglani, learned A.G.A for the State through Video Conferencing.
