The present Criminal Appeal has been filed by the appellant, Deepak Singh, against the judgment dated 28.07.2022, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Khatima, District Udham Singh Nagar in Sessions Trial No. 92 of 2019, "State vs. Deepak Singh", whereby, the appellant has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of seven years along with a fine of Rs. 5,000/- for the offence punishable under Section 307 of IPC, and, he has been further convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of one year along with a fine of Rs. 1,000/- for the offence punishable under Section 504 of IPC. Both the sentences are directed to run concurrently.
Heard Mr. Aditya Pratap Singh, the learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. S.T. Bhardwaj, the learned Deputy Advocate General for the State.
Appeal is admitted.
The learned counsel appearing for the State requested four weeks' time to file objection to the bail application.
