Heard learned counsel for the parties. Petitioner was serving on contract as E.C.H.S. (Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) at Rudrapur. She filed a writ petition claiming maternity leave, which was allowed by learned Single Judge of this Court. Alleging non-compliance of the judgment rendered by Writ Court, this contempt petition was filed.
Learned counsel for the respondent on instructions makes a statement at the bar that pursuant to the judgment of this Court, maternity leave of six months was sanctioned to the petitioner and a sum of ` 1,51,640/- was paid to her as remuneration for the period of maternity leave.
Since the order passed by writ court stands complied with, in such view of the matter, the contempt petition is closed.
Contempt notice issued to the respondent is hereby discharged.
