                        JUDGMENT

Petitioner is serving as Urdu Translator Cum Junior Clerk in District Dehradun. His grievance is that, in District Dehradun, the post of Urdu Translator Cum Junior Clerk is not being treated as part of separate cadre. This, according to him, is contrary to the law laid down by Division Bench of this Court, which was affirmed by Hon'ble Apex Court.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has already made a representation on 30.03.2021; but, no decision has been taken thereupon so far.

3. After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer and submits that

Competent Authority be directed to take decision on petitioner's representation at the earliest.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Competent Authority to take decision on petitioner's representation as early as possible; but, not later than four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order alongwith copy of representation.

5. It goes without saying that, while taking any decision, all stakeholders, including persons likely to be affected by the decision, shall also be heard.
