Heard learned amicus curiae and learned counsel for the State

Government - Social Welfare Department.

The matter had to be listed today in view of the letter

dt.18.03.2026 addressed to the Registrar (Judicial), High Court of Tripura by

the Secretary In-Charge, High Court Legal Services Committee, Agartala

reporting of certain circumstances which have arisen since the passing of the

previous order by this Court on 13.03.2026.

In the letter addressed by the Secretary In-Charge, High Court

Legal Services Committee, Agartala, it is stated that Miss Purba Karmakar,

who was previously in Mangalalok Shakti Sadan, a Girl Shelter Home, had

suddenly left the place on 16.03.2026, and was recovered from home of her

maternal uncle Sri Sunil Das, a resident of Sekerkote.

The Secretary In-Charge informs that she interacted with Miss

Purba Karmakar, who stated that she intends to stay only with her maternal

uncle and aunt at Sekerkote, and does not wish to stay in the Girl Shelter

Home referred to above.

In view of the wish expressed by her, she is permitted to stay in

her maternal uncle's house at Sekerkote.

However on every second Saturday of a month, for a period of

one year, a responsible official from the Social Welfare Department,

Government of Tripura shall visit the residence of Sri Sunil Das, maternal

uncle of Miss Purba Karmakar at Sekerkote, and file a report as to her

wellbeing in this Court through the learned Government Advocate.

Let the matter be listed on 12.05.2026.

Issue copy of this order to both the learned amicus curiae and

learned Government Advocate.
