Heard Mr. D. Paul, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. This is a contempt petition filed by the petitioner under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India for willful and deliberate violation of the judgment and order dated 10.09.2024 passed in WP(C) 160 of 2024 [Sri Tridip Saha vs. The State of Tripura and 5 others] wherein this court had passed the following order:

"In view of that, I direct the respondents to consider the appointment of the petitioners in the post of Group 'C', if they fulfill all the eligibility criteria in accordance with law."

Mr. Paul, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the order dated 10.09.2024 passed by this court has not been complied with till today, and he has prayed for issuance of contempt notice upon the respondent- contemnors.

Accordingly, issue notice calling upon the respondents to show cause as to why a contempt proceeding under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India shall not be drawn against the respondent-contemnors for taking penal action for deliberately violating the court's order, as prayed for; and/or why such further or other order(s) shall not be passed as to this court may deem fit and proper.

Notice is made returnable on 19.03.2025.

The petitioner shall take steps for service of notice upon the respondents within 3(three) days by registered post with AD.
