HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE T. AMARNATH GOUD

                                                                       ORDER

25.01.2024

Heard.

This contempt petition has been filed under Article 215 of the

Constitution of India read with Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act

1971, in the judgment and order dated 14.12.2022 passed by this Court in the

W.P.(C) No.850 of 2022 for the contempt of the Court, defamation, intentional prima

facie strict liability of negligence and/or res Ipsa loquitur etc. by contemnor

respondent No.3, Tripura University thereof.

On perusal of record, it appears that complying with the judgment and

order dated 14.12.2022, the petitioner had written a letter dated 16.12.2022 to the

respondent Tripura University and subsequently, letters of reminder were written to

them from time to time, to which, the Tripura University by its letter dated

21.03.2023 responded to the petitioner.

In view of such circumstances, this Court is of the view that the present

contempt case is liable to be closed.

However, this Court feels that ends of justice would be met, if the

petitioner is given liberty to avail remedies under law challenging the impugned

proceedings, if any, by way of filing a fresh writ. Accordingly, the same is provided to

the petitioner.

In view of the above, the present contempt case stands closed.

                                                                                                 JUDGE
