AWARD OF LOK ADALAT

The matter is placed before the Lok Adalat today.

The MACT, Jodhpur Metropolitan by its judgment and award dated 27.06.2016 in MAC Case No. 185/2013 awarded a sum of Rs. 1,26,655/- alongwith interest @ 8.5% per annum.

With the consent of the parties, the impugned award dated 27.06.2016 is further enhanced by Rs.7,50,000/- in favour of the claimant(s)/appellant(s) as a full and final settlement of the case. The amount so agreed shall be deposited by the respondent Insurance Company with the Tribunal within a period of two months from today failing which, the same shall carry interest @ 7.5% per annum from the date of this order till actual realization. The enhanced amount of compensation be disbursed in terms of the award in the saving bank account of the claimant(s) without insisting upon FDR. The award impugned dated 27.06.2016 passed by MACT, Jodhpur Metropolitan in Claim Case No. 185/2013 is modified accordingly.

In view of the above, the appeal is disposed of.

The Registry is directed to send back the record forthwith.
