1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

controversy involved in the present case is squarely covered by a

judgment rendered by Hon'ble Apex Court in case of Secretary,

State of Karnataka & Ors. vs. Uma Devi & Ors.; (2006) 4

SCC 1.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner

will submit a representation to the respondents for grant of

benefits in light of judgment rendered by Hon'ble Apex Court in

[2024:RJ-JD:42956] (2 of 2) [CW-17453/2024]

case of Uma Devi (supra) and the respondents may be directed to

consider the same at the earliest.

4. Considering the submission made at the Bar, the writ petition

is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to approach the

respondents by way of filing appropriate representation in light of

judgment rendered by Hon'ble Apex Court in case of Uma Devi

(supra).

5. On filing such representation by the petitioner, the

respondents shall consider and decide the same in accordance

with law expeditiously preferably within a period of eight weeks

from the date of receipt of such representation.

6. The stay application and other pending applications, if any,

also stand disposed of.
