----Appellant Versus Amar Singh
----Respondent

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE FARJAND ALI
Order
19/04/2023
In the report made by the office, it is mentioned that by
giving benefit of order passed by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in
view of the outbreak of pandemic Covid-19, relaxations were
made in filing of the appeal, petition and application.
The leave to appeal has been found within limitation.
Heard on leave to appeal application. The prosecution was
launched upon the respondent on the accusation that he was
having an unlawful electricity connection and thereby committing
theft of electricity and in that case, after trial, the accused
respondent has been acquitted from the charges.
Upon consideration of the grounds mentioned in the memo
of leave to appeal, I deem it appropriate to allow the petitioner to
move an appeal against the judgment of acquittal.
(2 of 2) [CRLLA-142/2020]
Accordingly, the instant leave to appeal application is
allowed. The memo of leave to appeal shall be treated and
registered as an appeal.
Office to proceed.
