Learned AAG Shri Shah, has filed reply raising therein two

preliminary objections qua maintainability of this contempt

petition. The first objection is regarding the contempt petition

being time barred. Reliance is placed on the judgment of the

Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Maheshwar Peri & Ors.

Vs. High Court of Judicature at Allahabad through Registrar

General reported in 2016 (14) SCC 251 and it is urged that the

order, of which contempt is alleged in this contempt petition was

passed in the year 2017 and the contempt petition could only

have been filed within a period of one year of the said order.

Submission is also made that a review application has been filed

qua the order dated 14.09.2017 and thus, the matter is still

subjudice.

Shri Deora, learned counsel representing the petitioner prays

for time to respond to these preliminary objections.
