Appellant has filed this appeal challenging the order dated

21.01.2021 passed by the learned Single Judge, whereby, the writ

petition filed by the appellant was dismissed.

Learned counsel for the appellant has submitted that

appellant had applied for the post of Constable and was at number

(2 of 2) [SAW-312/2021]

one in the merit list. However, on account of pendency of criminal

case, appellant was not issued appointment letter.

Learned Single Judge vide the impugned order dated

21.01.2021 has rightly dismissed the writ petition filed by the

appellant as the selection process relates to the year 1996

whereas the appellant had approached this Court by filing the writ

petition in the year 2020. The writ petition filed by the appellant

suffered from delay and latches and was liable to be dismissed.

No ground for interference is made out.
