1. The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of

the Constitution of India are seeking declaration that Clause 11.5 of

advertisement No. 06 dated 09.09.2021 (Annexure P-1) is invalid because

respondents are bound to create waiting list.

2. The petitioners participated in the selection process which

commenced with the issuance of advertisement No. 06 dated 09.09.2021.

3. The respondents prepared final merit list and there was no waiting

list because of Clause 11.5 of the advertisement. The petitioners are assailing

aforesaid Clause of the advertisement.

4. On being confronted with Division Bench judgment of this Court in

a bunch of petitions including LPA-313-2024 titled as 'Rikul Chatwal Vs. State

of Punjab and others', Mr. C.S. Jattana, Advocate expressed his inability to

controvert applicability of said judgment to the facts of present case.
