Aggrieved by the judgment dated 04.06.2011, passed by the Judge, Special
Court, Patiala, vide which the appellant was convicted and sentenced to undergo
rigorous imprisonment for a period of six months and to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/- under
Section 18 of NDPS Act 1985, the appellant has come up before this Court by filing the
present appeal in the year 2011.
On instructions from ASI Rajinder Singh, counsel for the State submits that
the appellant has expired on 27.01.2013 and in this regard, he has handed over status
report along with death certificate of the appellant, which are taken on record.
Given above, appeal is disposed of as abated. Pending applications, if any,
stand disposed of.
