The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a direction to the respondent to allow the petitioner to continue in service as contractual Assistant Professor (Multimedia) in the University till regular appointments are made.

2. Learned counsel for the respondent University contends that the petitioner will not be replaced by another contractual faculty, and will be allowed to continue in service unless his work and conduct is found to be unsatisfactory, or regularly selected candidate joins the post, or there is no workload in the specific course, or the course itself has been discontinued.

3. In view of the statement made, it is apparent that the claimed relief has been given to the petitioner. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication,

and the petition stands disposed of as such.
