1. The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of
the Constitution of India are seeking direction to the respondents to grant benefit
of Military Service rendered by them during the Second National Emergency.
2. Mr. Aman Dhir, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, at the outset,
pointed that issue involved in the present petition is squarely covered by order
dated 04.04.2024 passed by this Court in CWP No.455 of 2018, Avtar Singh v.
State of Punjab and others.
3. On being confronted, learned counsel for the petitioner expressed
his inability to controvert applicability of afore-cited judgment to the present
case.
4. The present petition stands dismissed in terms of order dated
04.04.2024 passed by this Court in Avtar Singh (supra).
