[1] This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of

India seeking protection of life and liberty of the petitioners, who claim themselves to be major. Petitioners have married against the wishes of the private respondents. They have submitted representation dated 18.10.2023 (Annexure P-4), seeking protection of their life and liberty, to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga-respondent No.2, but to no avail.

[2] Notice of motion to respondent Nos.1 to 3 only at this stage. [3] Mr. Sanish Girdhar, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent Nos.1 to 3 and waives service.

[4] Heard learned counsel for the parties.

[5] Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter or commenting thereon and in particular the legality of alleged marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent

of Police, Moga-respondent No.2, to consider the aforesaid representation

action for violation of law, if any, committed by them.
