                        RAJBIR SEHRAWAT, J. (ORAL)

1. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under

Section 439 Cr.P.C for grant of bail pending trial in case FIR No.62 dated

14.04.2023, registered under Section 379-B of IPC at Police Station City, Sri

Muktsar Sahib.

2. It is submitted by the counsel for the petitioner that the case

against the petitioner is totally false, frivolous and concocted. The

petitioner is not involved in the crime. Further, it is submitted that the

incident is alleged to be of 04.04.2023 whereas the FIR was registered on

14.04.2023. Immediately, on the same day, the petitioner was arrested. This

only shows the manipulation by the police. Had the incident been true, then

the FIR would have been registered on 04.04.2023 only.

3. On the other hand, learned State Counsel, on instructions from

the concerned police official, submits that the petitioner is directly involved

in the crime. The name of the petitioner has been specifically mentioned by

the co-accused from whom the snatched material was recovered. Even, the

complainant has named the petitioner as the person who was involved in the

snatching. Not only that; the petitioner is having another case of similar

nature against him. Therefore, he is not entitled to be released on bail.

4. In view the above, this Court does not find any ground to grant

bail pending trial to the petitioner. Therefore, the present petition is

dismissed.
