In the light of the judgment passed by the Hon'ble Supreme
Court in Hira Singh and another Vs. Union of India and another (2020) 20
Supreme Court Cases 272, where the issue, which is the subject matter of the
present reference, stands concluded and the judgment in E. Micheal Raj
(2008) 5 SCC 161 having been over-ruled, the present reference would not
survive. The same is, therefore, disposed of in terms of the judgment passed
by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Hira Singh's case (supra).
