Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 297 dated 20.10.2015 under Sections 21 of NDPS Act, 1985 registered at Police Station City Sangrur, District Sangrur.
Status report by way of affidavit of Mr. Hans Raj PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division, Sangrur has been filed and the same is taken on record.
On instructions, learned State counsel submits that in terms of judgment dated 31.10.2022, the petitioner has been acquitted by the trial Court and the present petition has been rendered infructuous.
Dismissed as having been rendered infructuous. However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to move an application for revival of the petition within a period of three months, in the event, the aforesaid assertion is found to be factually incorrect.der is not to be construed as any opinion with regard to the age of the petitioners or factum or validity of their marriage or any civil or criminal proceedings.
