After arguing at length, learned counsel for the appellant confines the relief and prayer only to the extent of imposition of costs of Rs. 10,000/- by the learned Single Bench vide the impugned order and judgment dated 20.08.2020.

Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the writ petition was filed under the bonafide belief that the appellant - petitioner is entitled for the same relief, which has been granted to the similarly situated employees, therefore, the impugned order and judgment to the extent of imposing of costs be set aside.

Having heard learned counsel for the appellant, the impugned order and judgment dated 20.08.2020 is confirmed. However, imposing of costs of Rs. 10,000/- on the appellant is set aside.

Appeal is, accordingly, partly allowed.
